SCOPE NOTE, 2026-10-11 (comp 202).  Where this file quotes lambda_SM(M_*) ~ 0.0927
(Buttazzo et al. 2013), the 0.8 percent agreement, the one-sigma Higgs match or comp 176's
0.4 sigma, that is the anchor of its day and is kept as found. comp 202 computes the number
at three loops on current inputs: 0.0930 +- 0.0008 on the 2026 Review, 1.4 sigma from
e^-1/4 (0.0932, 1.6 sigma, on the 2024 inputs it was first run on), which is what the
book states from v32.137. Nothing here is re-run; the substrate side is unaffected.

PROVENANCE: EMPIRICAL, superseded by Computation 123

Computation 91 -- Two-loop SM RGE precision test of Z^2 = e^{-1}
==================================================================
STATUS (v26.40+): SUPERSEDED by Comp 123. This computation used a
SIMPLIFIED two-loop RGE (lambda_SM(M_*) ~ 0.085-0.087, 5-7% low) and
correctly concluded the 0.8% claim needs FULL Buttazzo-level precision.
Comp 123 delivers exactly that -- a proper two-loop running with a full
input-uncertainty budget: lambda_SM(M_*) = 0.0927 +- 0.0007
(m_t/m_h-dominated), a rigid 1.0-sigma match to e^-1/4 = 0.09197 that
converges monotonically with loop order. The 0.085-0.087 readings here
were truncation artefacts, exactly as anticipated. See Comp 123 for the
current SM-side result.

  Adds the two-loop SM RGE precision test to
Comp 71's one-loop verification of Z^2 = lambda_SM(M_*) / b(M_*) at
M_* = 4 pi m_h.

THE TEST
--------
Comp 71 verified at ONE LOOP that lambda_SM(M_*) ~ 0.0927, giving
Z^2 ~ 0.371 = 0.85% above the structural target e^(-1) = 0.36788.

Comp 91 (this) adds the TWO-LOOP correction and checks whether the
target is approached or departed from. If the two-loop correction
moves lambda_SM(M_*) closer to 1/(4e), the 0.8% near-coincidence is
genuinely the SM RGE truncation error and Z^2 = e^(-1) is structural.
If it moves away, the 0.8% is a numerical coincidence.
