PROVENANCE: PROOF

Computation 152 -- Non-balance is an open condition, and symmetry does not force it
===================================================================================
Backs the three claims that replace the circular measure-zero defence in
sec:complement-asymmetry. The old text read "Non-balance is generic (the balanced
locus is measure zero) but not forced ... since PST fixes no measure over v" -- which
defends the condition with a measure in the same breath as conceding there is none.

(1) OPEN CONDITION. B = {v : sum_a v(a) = 0} is closed of codimension 7, so its
complement is open and dense, and the distance to balance is exactly
    |sum_a v(a)| / sqrt(|D|). Stability, not probability: no measure is used.
At |D| = 2 in the unit-direction model the codimension is 6, not 7, because the
defining function is constant on B there. That exception is real and is stated.

(2) SYMMETRY DOES NOT FAVOUR BALANCE. The assignments fixed by the relabelling group
S_D are exactly the constant ones, and those are MAXIMALLY unbalanced,
    |sum| = |D| |v|. This answers the natural objection that an unstructured
substrate should be symmetric and therefore cancelling.

(3) THE SYMMETRY PACKAGE IS INSUFFICIENT -- an explicit counterexample. Let
    v(a) = eps_a u with one shared u and i.i.d. signs eps_a. This law is invariant
under the diagonal G_2 action, under all relabellings of D, and under
per-property complementation v(a) -> -v(a), the analogue of the flips that force
the Bernoulli measure. Every v(a) is a unit vector. Yet it balances with
    probability C(n, n/2) 2^-n, about 0.31 at n = 6. So the invariances PST has
articulated do NOT force non-balance; the residue is coordination, not symmetry.

(4) WHAT DOES SUFFICE, and it is weaker than independence: balance can carry positive
probability only if EVERY property's conditional law, given the others, has an
atom exactly at the cancelling value. One unpinned property anywhere in D is
enough to give measure zero, however strongly the rest are coordinated.

(5) SCOPE, stated rather than hidden. If the directions are quantised -- v(a) drawn
from the fourteen octonion imaginary units +-e_1..+-e_7, which the quaternionic
restriction of sec:scope-robustness gestures toward -- balance is NOT null: it has
    probability 1/14 at |D| = 2 and decays only polynomially. The open-condition
argument is about the continuum of directions that P1 supplies, and it does not
survive quantising them. A reader who wants discrete directions needs a
    different argument.
